With Kenmore being located in an area of unbelievable natural beauty, it really is the ideal place for people to enjoy a walk or two. Areas around Kenmore include Loch Tay and the River Tay, which are idyllic walking spots for anyone who fancies a stroll.

There’s also the option of exploring Taymouth Castle and Castle Menzies if you want to mix in great scenery with a bit of history too.

Thre are some superb highland walks such as the fifteen mile stretch from Kenmore to the village of Killin. You’ll be able to take in the serene Loch Tay as it’s at the heart of the area. Just to the east of Kenmore is Aberfeldy which is a nice, friendly town to visit.

You can experience unrivalled Glen scenery by heading north over the pass from Killin or via the hamlet of Fortingall. This area comprises of forest and woodland, pastures as well as the dams of Loch Lyon and Loch an Daimh.

Another excellent walk is around Kenmore Hill. The path is marked and usually dry under foot, suiting most walkers. You will see Loch Tay in all its glory and the mountains beyond it on your way round. The walk usually takes around 1.5 – 2 hours.

There are walks to suit everybody with some ranging from as little as 45 minutes right through to 10 hours. They all vary in grades too, with some being more challenging than others, even for the more experienced walkers.
